Tipping sacred cows - Jake Breeden

1. Fairness is not sameness.

Treat your guests and team members individually. Not too much regulations.

2. Balancing your work, passions and personal life equally isn't necessarily healthy

Work hard at one important thing at the time.

No obsessive passion.

Practice harmonious passion: showing passion for the things that makes you happy, even if they aren't your main focus in life.

3. Your results should be excellent - not your process

Aiming for excellence throughout the entire work process won't produce excellent results. Focus on the end product, and the path to it almost certainly won't be.

Lower the stakes. Pressure sometimes just lower the results.

4. Great innovation is about quality, not quantity

Narcissistic creativity means wasting resources creating something that just shows off the company's skill, rather than filling an actual market need.

So instead of innocating for no reason, innovate sensibly:

(1 rechanneling the creative energy. Don't put effort on every mistakes.

(2 repurpose ideas. Use tools that already exist instead of struggling to come up with something conpletely groundbreaking.
