一切的根源是:we are not listening. Pay attention.

There is no reason to learn how to show you're paying attention if you are in fact paying attention.

10 basic rules.

(1) Don't multitask. Don't be half in it and half out of it.

(2) Don't pontificate.

You need to enter every conversation assuming that you have something to learn.

A true listening requires a setting aside oneself. The speaker will be less and less vulnerable and more and more likely to open up the inner recesses of his or her mind to the listener.

Everyone you will ever meet knows something that you don't.

(3) Use open-ended questions.

(4) Go with the flow.

(5) If you don't know, say that you don't know.

(6) Don't equate your experience with theirs.

"People who brag about their IQs are losers."

Conversations are not a promotional opportunity.

(7) Try not to repeat yourself.

It's condescending, and it's very boring.

(8) Stay out of the weeds. No detail is the point, the listeners are caring about you.

(9) Listen.

"If your mouth are open, you're not learning."

"No man ever listened his way out of a job."

"Most of us don't listen with the intend to understand. We listen with the intend to reply."

(10) Be brief.

A good conversation is like a miniskirt; short enough to retain interest, but long enough to cover the subject.

I keep my mind open and I'm always prepared to be amazed, and I never disappointed.

2. 成功的八个秘密

(1) PASSION

I'm driven by ma passion. Do it for love, not do it for money. I would pay someone to do what I do.

(2) WORK

It's all hard work. Nothing comes easily but I have a lot of fun!

(3) GOOD

To be successful put your nose down in something and get damn good at it. There is no magic, it's practice, practice, practice.

(4) FOCUS

I think it all has to do with fucusing yourself to one thing.

(5)PUSH

Push yourself. Physically, mentally, you gotta push push push.

Push away shyness and self-doubt.

I always had self-doubts. I wasn't good enough, wasn't smart enough. I didn't think I'd make it.

(6)SERVE

It was a privilege to serve as a doctor.

Millionaires serve others something of value. That's the way people get rich.

(7)IDEAS

I had an idea -- founding the first micro-computer software company.

listen- obersve- be curious- ask questions- problem solve- make connections.

(8)PERSIST

Persistence is the number one reason for our success.

其他的都没什么印象了诶……

主要是我家奇葩的外卖味道浓到我受不了……太他妈难闻了……卧槽这个真的是……损害呼吸道……宝宝去干别的了。
